First Tutorial. Sea Serpent, how to draw.

HOW TO DRAW A SEA SERPENT

Step One: Draw a small egg shape. Connected to it, sketch a larger oval shape. Connected to the oval shape , which will soon become the head of the sea serpent, sketch a curved line with a line parallel to it, for the neck. Add two other curved lines, both of which are mirrored underneath themselves.

Step Two: Add a gentle curved line under the serpents brow, as to simulate the other eye. Draw a small nostril bump. Draw a small, stretched oval for the eye. Add spots along the serpents back. Draw the underbelly outline.

Step Three: This is where things get a little tricky. Add horns to your sea serpent, and give it a nostril. Draw a small circle at the top of the eye. Draw a half circle around the eye. Add lines into the half circle to make the serpent look ancient. Sketch in spines, in a classic spiked pattern. With quick strokes, give the serpents underbelly texture, with lines. Add a beard at the end of the mouth. Give it a line close to the line where the head ends for a mouth, and add teeth. Draw a few waves around it.

Step Four: Erase all the extra lines! Your sea serpent is done! Ad curved lines around where the serpents body dissapears into the waves, and draw waves in front, and behind the monster. Color it in, if you like.

These are pictures of a tutorial I drew.

I hope you enjoyed learning to draw this.
